A small part of my world was turned upside down on Feb. 20, 2008. Around 3pm I heard Curt's phone start ringing. I was using mine to access the internet
on my desktop. A few minutes later Curt comes in the room, by the look on his face I knew something was wrong but I had no idea it would involve me directly.
Wed. morning about 9:30am my Grandmother was in a car accident. We first thought the accident is what killed her, but we later found out she had a heart-attack. Saturday we had a memorial for her and then monday my aunt and uncle brought her ashes to Florida to be buried next to her 2nd husband, the love of her life. Sunday I brought Curt back to Alabama, his truck broke down about 3 wks ago. I've needed some time to myself so I decided to stay here a few days.. Tomorrow, I will head back home to take care of the things there. I haven't fully let go, and I know this day is coming. My grandmother lived to be 83 years old. She outlived 2 husbands and 1 grand child and 1 great grandson. She was a nurses aid until she moved to Florida in 1980. There she worked in the school cafeteria and volunteered in the school library until she retired in 1992. In 2005 she moved to Texas. She was also very faithful in her church. In Florida and Texas. I'm glad I got to spend the time I got with her.
Grandma, your in my thoughts and dreams. I love you and will miss you very much. R.I.P.
